This is all so new to me! i do not know how to get people to even want to read my musings! Right now I am missing my daughters--the ones I birthed and my pseudo-daughters---the ones I sort of adopted from school. It is like losing your own child when they graduate and go on to university. You are left missing them or you are left missing your special ones each year!
So I should be putting my clothes away and trying to finish my sweater for the state fair but as usual I am procrastinating. When I make a garment which takes a long time I get very attached to it and kind of subconsciously create all kinds of delays and reasons not to finish it. I know that I will still have the sweater here but the knowledge of the pattern and my familiarity with it will leave with the finishing. I know I will have it to wear.......just always love the process of the construction and hate when it is over.
BUT I now have two Christmas stockings to make , have bought all of the yarn and now must unearth the patterns so I can get started. One is for Juliette, who is being born tomorrow and will be a baby reindeer on a red background. We have been waiting for her for almost a week now----her parents have about had it up to there! Will be glad when she is safely delivered. The other one is for my nephew's baby, Isla, who is to be born in December. I have a lot of time for that one, though, and may just make it a surprise for Bernadette and Todd.
This jewelry making is beginning o be an obsession! I think of it when I cannot sleep ( which is often and not always due to caffeine ingestion). What beads to use? Which wire or elastic cord? Knitted or just stringing the beads? Did not know you can use graph paper to plot your designs...but will get some and try. Makes sense as you use it to plot knitting designs too. I should be putting away my clothes but will go down and knit some more to see how the order of the bead colors look when knitted. All for today.
